Understanding Science through Scripture

Science can be a very powerful tool and has certainly produced and discovered many things that make our lives much better.  However, when discussing the origin of life and the universe, this involves events that occurred when no one was around to make any observations and involves numerous guesses and assumptions regarding what actually happened.  In addition to this, “facts” do not speak for themselves.  They all have to be “interpreted” to give them any significant meaning.  Far from being an outdated, irrelevant ancient document, the Bible (being an “eye-witness account”) actually gives us the best foundation for properly understanding the world we live in today (including all the facts from science).  It was never intended to be a “science textbook” but it does provide a great “framework” through which we have a better understanding of biology, geology, astronomy, anthropology, etc.
